Chip Barrett is a Los Angeles-based artist originally from Baltimore, Maryland. With a BFA from CalArts, Chip's diverse artistic practice encompasses sculpture, photography, painting, and performance. His work delves into themes of comfort transition, habit, and the profound power of love amidst the complexities of loss and fragmentation.
Our Why
Chip and Jack found solace and friendship following the heartbreaking loss of their dear friend, Augie Grahn, to suicide in February of 2020. Their bond serves as a testament to the resilience of the human spirit, where beauty flourishes even amidst the darkest chapters of our lives. Through this tragic shared experience they were driven to extend a helping hand to those grappling with their own struggles and the forget-me-nots project was born.
